USAGE OF LIQUID CARBON DIOXIDE IN FIRE EXTINGUISHER

Fire extinguisher is a must every where (ie home, office, commercial complexes, factories etc.)

The three essential elements involved in producing fire are fuel, heat and oxygen. To put out a fire, we have to effectively remove one of these elements.
Removing the fuel is the most difficult approach for most fires.
By pouring water on the fire, we can remove heat.
To remove oxygen, we can ensure surrounding the fire with enough Co₂.

Pure Carbon Dioxide is one popular extinguisher material. In a carbon dioxide extinguisher, the carbon dioxide is kept in pressurized liquid form in the cylinder. When the container is forcefully opened, the Co₂ expands to form a gas in the atmosphere. Since Co₂ gas is heavier than oxygen, it displaces the o2 surrounding the burning fuel.
